Bringing the Bible message to people in and around Rugeley

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things.”

Romans 10:15

The UK’s largest touring exhibition of ancient and modern Bibles is coming to Rugeley on 28 March 2016. The exhibition is run by the Christadelphians and is being held at Mansefield House, Market Street (next to Aldi). It will open each day at 10.00 am. and close at 5 pm. (last entry 12 noon on 2 April).
Admission is free and there is free car parking.

Bible Exhibition

The Bible Exhibition has been touring the country for over 50 years, but now it is more relevant than ever.

The Bible is the centre of our beliefs and yet many people have never read it, or not looked at it for many years. Sometimes people are put off the by the old language, others doubt its authenticity whilst others just don’t see the point of it. The Bible Exhibition aims to answer all those questions and show that the Bible is just as relevant in 2016 as it was in the days that it was written.

Exhibits include:

  • a range of ancient and modern Bibles, with Bibles in many of the 300 languages into which it has been translated
  • a 13th century Latin manuscript
  • a modern facsimile of the first printed Bible
  • a 16th century Jewish scroll
  • Bible-related coins and postage stamps

There are also replicas of archaeological exhibits from around the world, video presentations and computer quizzes. Visitors are able to use an audio guide as they go round the whole exhibition.

The Bible is arguably the world’s bestselling book, but one of the least read. We hope to encourage you to take another look at it. It may surprise you.

"Knit and Natter"

There will be a daily knit and natter group open to everyone and a piece of collective art for visitors to contribute to.

Children Welcome!

Children are very welcome – they can collect a free puppet pack, hunt for the lost coin and do the exhibition quiz!
