The Bible Exhibition has been touring the country for over 50 years, but now it is more relevant than ever.
The Bible is the centre of our beliefs and yet many people have never read it, or not looked at it for many years. Sometimes people are put off the by the old language, others doubt its authenticity whilst others just don’t see the point of it. The Bible Exhibition aims to answer all those questions and show that the Bible is just as relevant in 2016 as it was in the days that it was written.
Exhibits include:
There are also replicas of archaeological exhibits from around the world, video presentations and computer quizzes. Visitors are able to use an audio guide as they go round the whole exhibition.
The Bible is arguably the world’s bestselling book, but one of the least read. We hope to encourage you to take another look at it. It may surprise you.
There will be a daily knit and natter group open to everyone and a piece of collective art for visitors to contribute to.
Children are very welcome – they can collect a free puppet pack, hunt for the lost coin and do the exhibition quiz!
Do you have an old Bible at home? Could it be the oldest Bible in Rugeley? We are offering a prize for the oldest Bible in Rugeley! Bring yours along to the exhibition to show us, we’d love to see it.
